In the early 60s, Gerald Freeman immigrated from London to the US.  With an adventurous past of surviving WWII as a child, joining the Royal Air Force, and finding himself after his service becoming a freelance illustator pursuing his previous training. The US was a natural fit for Freeman and friends from the local pub who all decided to immigrate.

Some of his most known works:

  • 2006 Meadow Brook Concours d’Elegance, received an Award of Excellence
  • 2007 Article titled “Reviving Goodwood” was published in the July/August issue of AUTO Aficianado
  • 2006 Phil Hill at the Goodwood Revival, titled “The Lap of Honour”.  The first proof print was framed and sent to his son Derek Hill.
  • 2005 Concorso d’Italia at Meadow Brook titled “Nuvolari at His Best”, the
  • 2008 poster for the Hilton Head Concours, titled “The Great Savannah Race”
  • 2010 poster for the Concours d’Elegance of America at Meadow Brook.

His work not only has the lines and techniques of a master rtist, but his ability to capture the passions, journeys, and history are next to none. Freeman’s work enhances the romanticism, adventure, and sport that is; motoring. Putsch Racing is proud to display and sell his coveted works.
