Open to: European sports, exotics and classics Pre-War and classics Road racing American sports Download Registration Form Upon arriving at Hedges Boyer Park in Tiffin Ohio, you will be guided to the show venue where you will park among 50-100 year old shade trees. The location is especially pleasant, as it is bordered by a winding stream. While the show is open to the public, exhibitors will feel confident parking their prized cars in this secure and picturesque location. Horsepower for History was conceived from the idea of using peoples' love for the world's cars throughout the last 100 years to benefit the preservation of our American history and historic sites. Whether you're touring in an Auburn Boat-tail Speedster, "bombing" around in a Mini Cooper, or dreaming of the Italian Autostrada while driving your Lamborghini, you are experiencing the culture of your car's country and the history of when it was created. During your evening in the park you will enjoy even more in this festive atmosphere.
Awards
Fine antique "Tiffin" crystal stemware will be given as awards (see picture). The concours' host city of Tiffin had a one-hundred year history of fine glass making. The pieces given as awards are identical to those used by the Trumans, the Presleys, and even at the Monaco palace. The grand award is an identical gold-rimmed champagne glass to which Princess Grace Kelly acquired from Tiffany's in New York for use in the Monaco palace with Prince Rainier! Awards will not be given for the same old "first, second, and third", but for more spirited resons. Such as "historic preservation, spirit of the automobilist, performance, artist's choice, modern excellence, grand ellegance" among others. As the event director, I am strongly against awards being political and the awards are given to owners for their spirit just as frequently as they are for having a lovely automobile. Food
Reino's Italian Restaurant will serve food and drinks. This family started the town's first pizza parlor and is the oldest family restaurant in Tiffin! Now on their third generation this restaurant is the community favorite.
Historic Fire Equipment There will be numerous fire engines ranging from the 1800's to the 1950's on display!
Museum display
The Hoffert Family will display the only surviving 1917 Tiffin Economy Car. There will also be demonstrations by Casey Putsch on The Seneca County Museum's 1886 hi-wheel bicycle! The Tiffin Glass museum will be on hand to display Tiffin's fine glass heritage, sell books, and talk to glass collectors in the making!
